About

miksproductions is an artistic duo based in the Netherlands,  consisting of two cousins, Eleni Mik and Akiko Mik. Having produced music in various forms throughout their whole life, both together and separately, they now join forces together, as miksproductions, a name that originates from their childhood years. Combining their interests in songwriting, composing, electronic and contemporary sounds, philosophical lyrics, and traditional greek folk music, the two multi-instrumentalists dove into a world of co-composing, where every sound is created, thought of, and felt together. Refining song structures, composing methods, and creating inner to outer spaces.

Elèni Mik is a Greek-Dutch musician and artist. Having played classical piano from 5 years old, her true musical passion emerged at 19, when she attended a maqam and pre-war rebetiko seminar, where the Oud spoke to her differently.

Alongside her musical development and exploration, she finished her studies in Theoretical Physics in Amsterdam and Berlin, focusing on philosophy of science and astrophysics, while performing across the city’s music scene.

Now based in Rotterdam, she studies Oud and the musical traditions of the Silk Road at Codarts and frequently collaborates across theater, dance, and performance art. Her recent work includes composing and performing for productions such as the puppetry theater Zai el Lila at Ernst Busch University of Theatre Arts Berlin, and developing new interdisciplinary projects in dance and performance art.

Akiko Mik is a composer-performer, producer, vocalist and multi-media artist based in The Hague, the Netherlands. She creates electro-acoustic works that blend avant-garde pop and contemporary art music.

She holds a degree in composition from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and she writes music for both acoustic instruments and electronics, almost always accompanied by her own voice. Her music combines structural compositional frameworks with her highly personal, intuitive lyrics and dreamlike world-building.

She has collaborated with various disciplines such as theater, dance, and film. Her music has been performed at venues including Korzo, Orgelpark, Museumnacht Den Haag, Rewire Festival, and Wonderfeel Festival. Her film scores premiered on Dutch national television and at the Netherlands Film Festival. In March 2026 she composed an opera for the Opera Forward Festival commissioned by the Nationale Opera & Ballet
